This is well within my kink box.:
In her first interview since giving birth, the teenage daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said having a child is not “glamorous,” and that telling young people to be abstinent is “not realistic at all.”
Since I’m all about skewing the gender norms, I have a bit of a thing for conservative women (or those who are conservative by proxy in this case), yet that is made stronger when they have that conservative aura while being smart enough to voice some heterodox views. So Bristol Palin (bonus points as a newly minted MILF) benefits from angling herself towards sane sex education policies and Jenna Bush benefitted from having the tolerance related to homosexuality (inviting Ellen and Portia to be married on her family’s ranch) and her focus on education in under-served areas and UNICEF in the past.
I don’t know if either is conservative or liberal as judging by one’s parents is imperfect. But hearing them say something that puts them at odds with the views of their parents certainly makes them seem like smarter, stronger women while likely maintaining at least certain aspects of a conservative upbringing. And that can be kind of sexy. It also is probably an indication of the political shift of our generation. There are certain issues that the Millennial generation agree on so much that there are bound to be all manner of children of conservative parents who are much more liberal in certain ways.
Update: I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Meghan McCain. Yes please.
